Jay Allison

Massachusetts friends: Still Singing the Blues airs tomorrow, Sunday, Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. on WCAI-FM, the Cape and Islands NPR station (and a service of Boston’s acclaimed WGBH). It will be broadcast on Jay Allison’s weekly show Arts and Ideas Radio. Jay is a public-radio luminary: He’s the curator and producer of This I Believe, and is working with the storytelling organization The Moth to produce a national radio series. And, as his bio says, “Over the last twenty-five years, Allison has created hundreds of documentaries, essays, and special series for national and international broadcast, and has won virtually every major industry award for his productions and collaborations, including the duPont-Columbia and five Peabodys.”

Arts and Ideas Radio is a four-hour weekly eclectic mix of documentary programming, much of it from the Public Radio Exchange (PRX).

You can listen at 90.1, 91.1, 94.3, or this link. Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s landfall.
